Default Probs tranferring photos

Please Login to Remove!

I bought a 2 Gig memory card and it is in just fine.

I had some photos on my BB and it seemed to be under a file called "user". Huh?

And then I downloaded some wedding photos and the original photos are like missing!!!

It always asks me if I want to open the mass storage device and I say "yes". Is that part of the problem? How can I get all these photos on my BB and be able to have them in one spot?

Yes, do enable Mass Storage on your SD Media card. As to where you store your photos, I don't know, but I would keep all the pictures in the same folder for sanity's sake.

I do have the Media Manager but I don't understand "where" the photos are going. Why does it say when I enable Mass Media that I may not be able to access some of the media features?

It just seems to be storing the photos on the BB itself (not the memory card) and thus it can only store about 6 photos (high res). It seemed to overwrite the originals on there.

DON'T store them on the BB Device Memory, but on the extended memory SD card, or Media Card. If you are putting the pictures on there via transferring from the PC, you are likely getting them on the Media card correctly.

You CANNOT access the media card from the BB while it is plugged into the PC.

Default How do I get Media Manager

I have a new BB 8830 with Sprint. I have loaded the desktop manager (twice) 4.2 SP2, but I can't find the Media Manager. Is it a separate app? I kept expecting it to show up in the Desktop Manager window but I only get 5 icons.

Any help is appreciated?

The Media Manager is within Desktop Manager. It is one of my five, and I am on the Service Pack 2.

What are the five icons you get?
