Default Setting up Email Help(thread 1 million)

Please Login to Remove!

I am aware that these threads are probably all too common, but I just cannot find the answers I need and I do not have time today to go to the Verizon Store for help.

I used to have a 7750 and had to get an 8703e because it was freezing up on me way too often. I had my work email sent to my old blackberry because I needed to have access when I was out of town, away from internet access, etc. When I activated the 8703e yesterday, I guess my emails are no longer being sent to my phone because it is a new phone? Same phone #.

This is not a Yahoo, Hotmail, etc email. I need help, and appreciate it in advance.

Note: I could not find the answer to this on this website at all. When I went to Verizon for my last blackberry, he just asked me for my email address and password, and told me that it was activated and registered me for this message board and said all the answers for activating other email addresses were here, but i cannot find them.

Again, thanks in advance.

Is this for a BIS account???
If so you will have to log onto the providers BIS website and change the pin and imei settings before they will go to your bb.

Also, for some reason I cannot access the internet on this new phone, even though I had access on the old one right up until I switched phones.

Make sure that you download the latest desktop software
BlackBerry - BlackBerry Desktop Software | Applications to Synchronize Your BlackBerry and Desktop Data
and there is an icon to click on that says "switch device", hook up your old device, run it, then it will tell you to hook up the new device and it does everything.

Are you using a BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server) or BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) to forward e-mails to the device?
