Default BB Browser issues/media card issue

Please Login to Remove!

Hi gang! Complete BB newbie here, so please bear with me.

Just got 8330 from Alltel 4 days ago. I have a previously used MicroSD card from my old Samsung. 1g

I installed it into the BB, but when I do, the browser will only bring up the 'Services - Email Accounts' screen. (email has been setup) I can't get to the actual browser. Also any links that come through messages, or emails are no longer able to be used. Pretty much makes receiving emails useless.

I removed the card and it is still not allowing access to the browser.

What's the problem here? Do I need to format the card? How do I get my browser back?

I have 10 days left under my probation period to turn it back in if I don't like it. I really despise quirky things like this. Especially from a product that has been in use for many years.

I overheard this exact issue at the Alltel store when I was buying this one, but don't know if they found a resolution. Of course there is atleast a 1 hour wait to talk to any csr at the store, so I'd much rather hear from you experts.

you mean you don't have a desktop like screen with all icons ?
microSD would not restrict your basic usage, I hope the Set is not locked for features, you certainly need to call your operator and check with them for any restrictions.

You might want to try running thru Setup Wizard again and/or E-Mail Settings via their respective icons... I would then force the service books to be pushed to your device. You can logon to your person BIS webpage or do it thru OPTIONS > ADVANCED OPTIONS > HOST ROUTING TABLE > OPTION KEY > REGISTER NOW

And don't discount the good ole' battery pull. Take the battery out of the device while the phone is still running. Count to 30 and put the batter back in.
