How can i enable the option to show my recent typed contacts (email addresses) while composing a new email message on the bold 9700.

I've installed the latest update, but still the option is not available
in the message --> option --> general.

which device do you have, your profile says 8310, but you're posting in a 9700 forum.

for me and my OS its:
messages > options > general options > "Show Recent Contacts When Composing Email : [Yes or No]"

Doesn't appear it's an option on the 9700.

It shows up on mine... in the option menue that devnull pointed out... last item under the Display section.

I'm posting this in the 9700, because its for a 9700 Bold
I have the option in my other blackberry but not in the 9700.

maybe its an item unique to the OS version.

It is and it's recent on the 9700 OS...only thing is, I don't see it doing anything. When I hit compose, it only comes up with the contact list.

What do you mean unique to the OS. Unique to the OS of other blackberry devices and not the bold 9700 , because i have the option on other devices and not on the new bold 9700 fully updated.

Contacts used from lookup are kept in history, but manually typed addresses are forgotten and must be typed again (or saved in the global contact list and lookup must be preformed ..)

This is a missing feature!
