Default Email and Standby questions for Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my pearl this week, and had some questions regarding the email and standby functions.

Email: Is there a way to delete multiple email at one time?

Standby: Standby works great when my pearl isn't in the case is came with (the one with the magnets) but when I put it in the case it seems to be in a different mode. Normally standby won't bug me with email, but when I put it in the case in standby mode it warns me when I get a new email. Is there a way to keep the phone in standby mode in the case?

Thanks

Email, yes. Highlight a date bar in the list, and press Menu to Delete Prior,
or
highlight the first email you want to delete and hold down your SHIFT key while scrolling up or down to the other emails you wish to delete adjacent to each other, and press delete or Menu > Delete.

go to profiles and set it up to how you want it. When you put it in the case its automatically put on standby and a whole new profile takes over. You can customize this very easly

Ok. Thanks for the tips. I've got the email deleting working, but I'm not sure which profile I should modify. I don't see one labeled standby or something like that? Where is the standby profile?

Wirelessly posted (8130)

It's the in and out of holstet option in the profile. You have to go to advanced options to modify it.

There is not a "standyby" profile as such, but in each profile (phone, messages, etc.,) you will find a IN and OUT of holster section. IN holster is for when the BB device is IN the holster and there in standby, so to speak.

Ok, that's great... also do you know if the power consumption is the same for Standby mode vs In Holster? Because the standby mode is GREAT for extending battery life.
