Issue # 1

Just like you have Phone Logs in BlackBerry Bold 9700 - Which shows datewise the calls made, received and missed. And if you click on one of them, it even shows the History via the "View History" Option.. Where in it further shows when the call was made and the duration etc...

Is there such a detailed Log available also for the TEXT MESSAGES (SMS) Sent and Received in 9700 OS 5. I am using the latest OS 5 (5.0.0.1014)

Basically I want a keep a count of SENT SMS Messages so I can keep a track of my billing. Don't care much about Received.

Issue # 2

OS 5 9700 - Under Options - Sms & Messages - when I press the BlackBerry Key - There is a submenu called View Folder. When I click on that there are so many of these Inbox and under that Spam folders. So many of them approx. 7 (on Collapse / Expand). And then finally other folders like MMS, SMS Conversations, Phone Logs etc.

Why are those folders present? Inbox and SPAM - Are they related to my e-mails I have configured from the BIS BlackBerry.net Portal? Can I get rid of them? Because they are more than the number of emails I have configured?

In the same place, Messages > Menu key > View Folders > SMS Inbox, and SMS Outbox.
Now, I am not sure how you're going to count that if that's what you want.

yea... i know.. but that would be so manual... and if the SMS usage is high then it's a problem... like for e.g my carrier offers first 15,000 Text SMS free in 1 billing cycle and I want to utilize all of them but never exceed.. and that Kind of number will be difficult to count...

some place where it displays a count ... like 6, or 100 or 200... a direct count.. i don't think that's a feature in BB right? atleast in 9700 OS 5?

Any OS 6 users know if this feature is there introduced in OS 6? SMS Counter?

wow thats a lot of messages. are you sure you didnt mean 1,500? if you did mean 15,000 i dont think you need to keep track. you will never go over. i did the math, in a 16 hour day, you would have to send a message every 2 minutes, every day, for the month.

LOL :D i'm weak at math... my point was i wanted to know how much do i end up using... and sometimes they do charge wrong.. just wanted to know if it's possible. thanks

There are 3rd party apps that you can use to generate the report on calls. I think some of the CRM packages have this feature and I like them. I used to have it when I was on BES. Miss it for sure.
