I have an 8330 and a friend is giving me his old Garmin NUVI and it has the ability to send/receive SMS/Text via Bluetooth if your phone supports it. I tried to Google this but didn't come up with much. Does anyone know if this model, or any model, supports this?

I guess the question I would ask is why? If the phone can do SMS, why use something else that has to use the phone anyway?

Because the GPS unit will use TTS (Text-To-Speech) which would be handy when driving.
