i use outlook express to retrieve my email from my ISP email account. i finally got my email coming to my blackberry, but it's not leaving a copy in my outlook. what am i doing wrong? i had to make a "rule" in outlook to not download messages from the server, is that the issue?
i did look around before posting. isn't a forum for asking questions you cannot find answers to? i did have the box checked to leave messages on the server. still was not leaving a copy in outlook. i did figure it out though by adding a rule in a different order. all is well now. BTW, the solution for me is not in the FAQ or any search. which is why o posted in the first place. i'll figure this phone out on my own i guess.
You should have mentioned that you had Leave Messages on Server checked and that you read the FAQ/did a search and those suggestions didn't work.
We get tons and tons of people asking the same questions over and over again, things that have been discussed over and over. Yours included.
In any forum, when you have a problem or ask a question you need to say what steps you have taken. For example, the first troubleshooting step on any BB is a battery pull. If you ask a question where that applies, the first response you will get is to do a battery pull. If you have done that, say so up front. Don't get ticked off when we offer something you have tried but didn't say it in your post. We can't read your mind nor do we know what you have done.
I offered the number 1 solution to your problem. Had I known that you had done that already, I would have offered another.
