Default "Initializing..." on a new install of BES 4.0

Please Login to Remove!

Just installed BES 4.0 for the first time and I can't get the status of any of the blackberries to change from "Initializing." Can't figure out for the life of me what I am not doing or doing incorrectly. I have read and reread the guides to no success.

Also, when I go to the Handheld Config Tool to "Assign Handheld to User" I get the error "An error occured while assigning the handheld to the user. The user is not yet known to the Blackberry Agent. It can take several minutes for a newly added user to be fully initiated by the server before they can be provisioned. (16)"

Any thoughts?

It can take up to 20mins when adding a user, for us, before we are able to actually assign a device to them. Has it been a while since they were added?

Check the error logs, this on groupwise/exchange/notes? If groupwise, might be a problem with the trusted app key.

Default Check

the dispatcher logs after removing and readding a user. See if you find this sort of error...

RPC command failed no connection to BES Agent...

When the user is added it says "Initlaizing. . ." on BES and the device should be activating and installing its services. Once these are done and the mailbox has received the system message and deleted it - then BES should indicate that its running.
If the device says "activiating" and nothing happens afterwards, then it could be an issue with the DB or user hasnt received the message from RIM.

Check to make sure that the user email address and password is correct
