So after much prodding and poking...Here it is. Attached. AIM 2.1.32

alx plus cod files. Just load em up. There is no 2.1.33 yet. The alx may not work, but it should. At least you have the cod files and you can load em with javaloader.

Your welcome.

Thanks for the aim files, Joepee. They worked great. It looks much nicer than the 2.0.46 version.

BB Curve newb here, should I overwrite these files in the AppLoader folder and then re-add the application, or just add the .cod in the Application Loader in DM?

Thanks.

go to this link in the BB browser:

http://www.blackberry.com/app_includ...en_us/aim.html

Go through the screens and you will get to the download page for AIM 1.1.16 (or whatever it is).
Click the menu key and the Goto and enter (or if you have it bookmarked):

http://www.blackberry.com/app_includ...n_us/aim2.html

Go through the screens and it will take you to the download screen for 2.1.32 instead of getting the device not supported.

I've been able to recreate this on my 8320, so hopefully it should work for you.
worked like a charm for me on t-mobile

Did you try and resend your service books after you downloaded the App.

Same problem. Worked on 4.2, upgraded to 4.5 and it stopped. Reverted to 4.2 and same message.

I just spent about 2 hours on the phone with T-Mobile and RIM, my case # is 5580972 with RIM if you don't believe me. Nothing T-Mobile tried worked, the guy even had a test 8800 in hand and he was doing everything to his that he had me do to mine and nothing worked. We even tried OZ and eBuddy. Nada. Finally he sent me to RIM and they were totally worthless, they said it was T-Mobile. I informed him that it was happening with all carriers and he gave me some rubbish that made him sound more like a politician than a technician.

After all was said and done I did the blackberry.com/aim link again, OTA of course, and this time it downloaded AIM 1.1.15 and it works again.

Thank you T-Mobile for being so incredibly patient and helpful. Its your customer service that keeps me here.

F-U to RIM. Maybe I should get an iPhone.

Thats funny because I called tmobile yesterday and they said the samething sent me to rim and rim said its tmobile problem then I went to the dl page and it said my device is not supported wierd. So maybe I should download an older version of aim?

Edit: Got aim to work! Search for Important AIM and ICQ Enabled for all Carrier by mshipek on this site. Can't post link because I don't have 10+ post
