How do I get/find/install this on a 7100g? I have not installed the desktop software yet, because it's not easy for me to find a windoze machine. If this is on that disk, I'll bite the bullet and do it.

Thanks.

In Ascendo DataVault Version 4, we have added or improved import from the following 3rd party applications;
- Cryptmagic
- Minisafe
- SplashID
- FlexWallet
- CodeWallet
- eWallet by Illium
- HandySafe
- RoboForm
- Turbo Passwords

Ascendo DataVault also imports BlackBerry Notes and BlackBerry Contacts.

In addition, we provide import for text files such as Comma Separated Values (*.csv) files with field mapping so you can specify the field positions in your file that correspond to the field positions in DataVault.

See our Online User Guide, Importing Items Section for more information.

Default Ascendo DataVault

I gave DataVault a try. This is a must have!

DataVault installed on my primary Desktop, a Windows XP machine with DM 4.2 quick and painlessly. The same holds true for my Laptop, a Windows Vista Home Premium machine with DM 4.3.

Integration into Explorer on both machines is amazingly seamless. I set up a few logins on the XP machine. When I went to the URL’s my login information was filled and ready to go. There is an option to automatically hit enter also. As the sites I first went to are work related and the information is not to be viewed by all I did not initiate this option. Although my Blackberry is a personal device I often get work related calls and need to check memos and invoices on the corporate site.

Next, I moved to the Vista Machine. Before doing a sync I set DataVault so that the Blackberry always wins in conflict resolutions. This is set to manual on the XP machine. As our corporate passwords change often these are often updated on my Blackberry first. As DataVault has performed perfectly so far it was no surprise the sync to this machine was flawless.

DataVault is well designed and extremely easy to use. I can’t imagine being without it. It is a must have! I feel it is a must for personal use and as for a corporate environment an absolute necessity. DataVault truly enhances productivity and proficiency.

Various uses for DataVault are endless. I have a MAC file database, battery numbers along with SN,s for my various gadgets, Insurance and medical information on family members.

Any information you want to have at your fingertips and easy to find in a moments notice can be stored secure and safe in DataVault.

I am currently setting up a database of all personal information possible. Imagine during an emergency, fire or natural disaster, grab your phone and go. The peace of mind in being able to recover from such circumstances with the least amount of hassle in unbelievable. DataVault is one fantastic little tool I am going to make the most of.

I highly reccomend everyone give it a try. Find out for yourself just how valuable it can be.

Don't waste money... There's a great program called KeePass, they have both desktop and BB application: SourceForge.net: KeePass for BlackBerry
I've been using Desktop for a while, love it. Just installed it on my 8830, works perfect. Copied DB file from desktop and it recognizes it.
I really miss days when I had Palm Treo, and most software was free, or $5

Yup, I think Data Vault works, great, changed my BB, emailed them and I had a new activation code in a few hours.

Me too...been using Ascendo DataVault for about 1 year, and there is no way I can live without it. Other than Ascendo Money, it's probably my most used BlackBerry software.
