If dust is under the screen, the only way to clean is by taking it apart in which I don't recommend and can void your warranty. If you put your Pearl in your pocket, I would recommend stopping.

LOL. The Pearl is just not built to be "pocket-ready"...

My Pearl never came with a sleeve.

It's a bad design. Getting dust under the screen means poor technical design. Waterproof is asking a lot, but dust proof? Come on... that shouldn't be too much too ask...

Contact RIM. Maybe if people complained about this, they may actually spend the 15 cents and fix the issue.

I sure can't be putting my pearl into it's holster. To fit it in, I'd have to take the skin off it, and if I took the skin off, I literally wouldn't be able to hold on to it. It's just too shiny and slippery naked. A real dilemma when it comes to wanting my pearl to stay clean as long as possible. I even tried a different skin that totally covers the keypad and everything, and it would probably do a GREAT job of protecting it as it fits so perfectly *BUT* the thickness of it around the trackball makes it too hard to click the track ball.

It's always something... so my compromise is a less than full-coverage skin and no holster use or big time case protection, but that's the nature of compromise I guess. I really hope I never have to take apart my pearl tho... talk about nerve wracking!

it is easy once you got the tools.

P.S. just remember: electronic device nowadays are easier to assemble/disassemble since nobody wants to pay too much for the training/service people ;)

LOL! No matter how nervous I might be, I can't deny the truth in this statement.
