I have a curve 8310 ,and I have installed "Español"
but ,when I change my divice to it ,I cannot type á é í ó ú ñ
I am a Chinese ,I am learning Spanish ,I cannot find the answer to this problem in Chinese website.

for the special characters, press the key longer than usual and roll the trackball to select the appropriate one

Did you roll the trackball? You need to do that to get the special characters.

In fact, you don't even need to have the language pack installed to do it.

Yes I did , but there are no other characters to chose, the ROM of my device is 4.5.0.124 ,maybe some software were not chosen when I upgrade it.

You do not need to install anything else. I have no other languages besides English on my Bold, and I can type ñ, é, á, ë, ö, ü, et al.
