Default Push Email using Kerio

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

We are new to Blackberries (we haven't got thm yet), but we are using Kerio Mail Server on a SUSE Linux box and we want to get Blackberry devices. I looked at the NotifyLink solution but it seems it is Windows only software. Does anyone know of any alternatives we can use ? Many thanks.

Alas, no - and I wish there were. Kerio's tech under the hood is IMAP4, standards-compliant stuff. The only "BES-like" capability for IMAP mailservers comes from a third party plugin to BES itself but.... it runs on Windows, no linux solution.

Right now I'm using the latest alphas (betas?) of LogicMail, it's an IMAP client for BlackBerry devices:

LogicMail for BlackBerry

...still in development but at least I can check my mail. The main things it's lacking right now are deleting mail (which means actually an IMAP move to Trash) and saving of sent email into the Sent folder (which is almost the same concept, code-wise).

If you're on BIS service you can of course check your Kerio server mail via the IMAP fetch plugin on your carrier's website, but the idea is weak - you don't get real IMAP email experience, it's more like an old school POP3.
