Hi all

I'm sure that this question has been asked already but I did a search and couldn't find anything specific.

Basically, I use my BB to read three Gmail accounts and one other IMAP account when I am away from my computer. However, if I read the mail on my computer first (which I do all day), the mail still shows up as new on my BB. Is there any way to change this so that my BB knows that they have been read in another location and marks them as read/ opened?

Are you sure that your compute email client is accessing your email through imap? because if your computer client is doing it by POP3 there's no way that your BB nows what emails you have read since POP3 doesn't support the "i have read something" information.

Yes, I use the Gmail site itself for those accounts (and IMAP on Thunderbird if I'm on a certain computer) and IMAP for the other account.

I have posted about the same problem a while ago. Looks like BB updates to IMAP mail are not instantaneous. Sometimes I have to wait few hours for my e-mail to change its read status.

That is frustrating though. I spend most of my day alternating between my computer and blackberry and I would just like them to coordinate better. :(
