I used the DM to do my upgrade and I had none of the issues that are being reported here. Mine was really quite flawless.

I tried & failed both ways.. each lost the Address Book app. Had to downgrade to get the app back, then Restore from the last backup to get the Address Book data back.

I wound up using both methods and had problems with each. Finally the tech from RIM agreed that downgrading was the right solution. I went back to previous version, and now all is well.

I had the problem of frequent call drops and I could not fix it.
After 3 days I went back to .713. Is there anyone with the same problem?

My current 9550 OS is 5.0.0.320 and I am with Verizon. I am also on a BES for my corporate Outlook program. Has anyone upgraded to the 1656 or 1015 version while on a BES? If so any issues with your BES connection?

I just updated to the new 1656 OS bundle on my 9550 and using the Desktop Manager. The update went perfectly, even my BES came back up perfectly without having to log in manually. I first downloaded the update from Verizon's web site to my computer and then launched the exe file. It did the rest, bringing up my Desktop Manager and marched me through the process. Very easy.

I upgraded to this OS. I tried both Wireless then Desktop upgrade using BlackBerry Desktop 6. I have the problem with the clock not showing when charging. I also get the seek bar in media player blinking when I play an Mp3.Even when I tap the screen to hide it the part showing how much time is left still blinks every second. Anyone else see this? Annoying!
