I have been reading that for certain features to work in BES 5.0 is is required that the OS on the phone be upgraded to 5.0 as well.

Most of the phone companies have not release OS 5.0. Anyone out there know if that the public folder option works without the phone OS being upgraded to 5.0?

Handheld OS 5.0 hasn't been released by ANY carrier yet.

You need OS 5.0 for public folders. Should be released later this year. There are some betas you can search for in the interweb.

Could use a third party app called Mobile Documents from Wicksoft for access to public folders. Reasonable price and it works well.
