I tried to use Restart Me on my 9900 but it is not compatible with BES. The app does not request any permissions, but it does not work. It just hangs. Before the BES was activated, it worked, but it stopped working after. I removed it and reinstalled it, but it makes no difference.

I asked the vendor what permissions it needs and they seem to be completely clued out about it. They simply said all permissions had to be enabled, which will not go over with the IT department.

I don't mind paying for an app if it works and if I can get a clear indication of what permissions it requires so I can get it approved.

If you are using a restart / battery pull app with BES, which one are you using, and what permissions does it require?

You don't need an App for a restart. Alt+right cap+ backspace will reboot your device. The restart apps don't give you anything more. Don't waste your money on restart apps. All it will do is add more bloatware to your device.

Ok ok - let's all try to get along now. I pissed the OP off in another thread...and I apologize. He didn't know about that key sequence as many others don't - no big deal. He's got a good solution now and we should just all be calm, before someone locks this thread as well.

@ BD - there is a list of BB shortcuts you will find quite useful here, if you search it out here...I just don't remember where, but many keys on the homescreen are actually shortcut keys if you disable the universal search feature on the homescreen!
