using your own words. just cause some bank gave him a loan he will never over 100 years be able to pay back does not mean you can afford it.

p.s again to get around data charges you would have to buy a NON ATT BRANDED PHONE so the IMIE is not in the att dbase!

Who said anything about being able to afford something? I know I didn't. I really don't even know why you quoted me because what you typed had absolutely no relevance to anything I said. This just shows me you really don't understand what I'm saying. Because you are continuously missing the point.

same thing right dude?

use part of something or cant afford something and still get it....

both still cry at the end why this, and that dont work, and why this stopped and that disappeared. etc.

but it was on point, humans buy stuff all the time, even if they cant afford it or dont use the full potential.

while now you see it on affordability. its the same as comparing a bb to a vett. pointless.

I believe he was referring to your signature not being English.

I gathered that, but the fact that I can read/write/speak another language besides English is irrelevant to my post and hardly ironic.

You're wrong. Like I said earlier, I own an ATT branded phone without any data charges.

And, as stated in this thread... give it time. ATT is notoriously combing through accounts for BlackBerry devices connected without the BlackBerry Data Plan on the account. It will most often be added to your account without warning, since in some prior billing statement or such, you've by default agreed to charges for data you're consuming and not being billed for.

I'm the administrator of a premier account with about 275 BB wireless numbers under it. It would be in their best interest for the comb to miraculously miss my personal account, and it has so far. Just saying...

There is a fine line between good business practice and fraud. Think which side you may be on.

Just my two cents, this guy is not skirting the system, he is paying for a "reduced data plan" that allows him to do what he wants. He cant do all the things a full BB data plan allows, nor is he trying to. If he wants to save 15 bucks a month so be it. He is still "paying for what he uses". doesnt sound to me like he is trying the buck the system here. He IS paying for his service. Kudos for trying to save a buck!

He is NOT paying for data service. He is paying for messages. In terms of billing, messaging is not a data service.

The op is 17, I doubt he or she is involved in any corporation. Its a kid trying to save a buck. Just because my satellite dish gets 700 channels, doesnt mean I should have to by all of them. I will watch what i pay for, this kid pays for what he is using.

My post you quoted was directed to dc while talking in a sub-thread that developed some posts up about corporations moving to the cloud. Has nothing to do with our 17 year old friend.

Two-cent follow-up:

T-Mobile just started offering a $20 "Preferred Unlimited Web" service to existing BlackBerry customers. The wife switched to it (saved $10), and I switched from my $15 Unlimited Texting to it + the 300 Domestic Texts for $5. Now we pay exactly the same as before, but I have proper BIS data

Worth looking into if you're a T-Mobile customer.

T-Mobile has always offered about the best deals on BB data. No caps, lowest prices, and partial plans to get users just the services they want. They've also been the most lax about enforcing rules about proper use.
