I am running a new BESX 5.0.3 server on Server 2003 R2 SP2 w/ SQL Express 2005.

From the time I have set it up, I had "Wireless message reconciliation turned on" and "Hard deletes reconciliation turned on" both set to "True" if I go to Blackberry Domain -> Component View -> Email -> ServerName -> Messaging tab.

With that being said, when I look at my "Manage Users" screen, it says "False" under "Wireless Message Reconciliation" for every user. In the IT Policy that they are assigned to, everything is set to "Yes" in the PIM Synchronization tab. Am I missing something? Note that these users were just moved last night using Blackberry Enterprise Transporter, and new messages are being delivered just fine.

Maybe just a display issue. If a user marks a message as opened in the BB, does this message also display as opened in Outlook? If so, reconcile is working.

Receiving mails is independent on your Reconcile Setting. It will work wether this setting is on or off.

Yes, it all seems to be working fine it just makes me wonder that it says "False" for every user. Very odd. Anyone else see this behavior?

I have the same behaviour, it shows as "False" in the search result view. But if you open a single user and go to the "Component View" tab, Wireless message reconciliation shows "Enabled" there, so it is really a display issue.

It seems to be a known issue. From the release notes

After a BlackBerry device user sets the Wireless Reconciliation option to Yes on a device running BlackBerry® 6, the change is not synchronized to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and the BlackBerry Administration Service displays the status of Wireless Message Reconciliation as False. I never saw that in the "Component Information" tab for the user, that makes me feel better that it actually is working. I also must not have searched the BES KBs for the appropriate text, because I was hoping to find that this was a known issue, but couldn't. Thanks for finding that for me!
