HI, for some reason, i try to download blackberry app world to my phone, and its not working..
note: i do have the latest version of software.

I have a flashed BB to boost.

Doesn't make any difference that you have flashed to whatever. You have to have a BB data plan to get the BB services, and BB app world is one.

I am having the same problem. I DO have a data plan and for some reason, app world will not open. It is telling me I need a data plan to use it.

Did some setting get turned off??

Just to make certain -- it's a BlackBerry data plan right? A regular, generic one won't work.

Yes, I have a Blackberry data plan via U.S. Cellular. It was working fine. I was going to browse to see if any new apps were out there... It says I need to "Upgrade my service to a plan that includes browsing and discover a world of possibilities at BlackBerry App World. Contact your service provider for more details."

I have deleted App World and reinstalled,but I still get the same message.
