Hi everyone, I've been a lurker all these while and now i have a problem with my desktop manager.

I've been using the BB 8707g for a year now with the desktop software 4.2.

I recently got the Bold and promptly uninstalled desktop 4.2 and installed 4.6.

However whenever i plug in my Bold to synchronise, it reports a failure to connect to my device, although i see my PIN number at the bottom of my 4.6 screen. Thus i cannot go to the page to customise my synchronisation preferences, much less sync.

I tried plugging in my 8707g and it successfully detects and connects it and allows me to customise my synchronisation preferences.

Are there any settings on the Bold that prevents me from syncing, than the 8707g doesnt have?

4.6?? Where did you get that? The latest version I could find is 4.3??

I've actually had the same thing happen to me, I had to completely shutdown the device manager and desktop manager and load it back up. When that didn't work a system reboot did the trick. It seems the blackberry gets hung in the USB port. I tried plugging in any of my BBs it wouldn't do a thing until a reboot.
