Happy New Year!!

I spend a lot cash on SMS’s within my users . To bring down this cost a little I'm encouraging all BB users to use BBM for short messages instead of chargeable SMS service via our carrier.

I was wondering if there is a way to push out all contacts on the user's devices and have them added in their BBM contacts through the server. Instead of adding each one as it is normally done. Or if the easiest way to approach this task.

If there is anything please do let me know.

No, that's not possible.
There's no automated way to add contacts to BBM, because each contact addition needs to go through an approval/acceptance process.

Each user will need to be educated on how to add contacts to BBM, and they will need to be done one by one.

a slightly easier way would be to create a group with all users in it so you can add them in from a list rather than type a PIN for each. but BBM dont like more than 30 users in a group from what I am told.

there is a remote backup restore function in BBM, I have used it for device changes and it might work for initial seup, but as pins change you will need to backup and restore a bit.

you know i totally forgot about the approval/activation. thanks for your advice. I think I'll instruct the users to use email for qucik text instead. It's free and everything will go through the BES.
