Default DR Solution

We have an offsite DR (DS-3 connection to production environment) with a DR Exchange 2007 server. Is it possible to install BES at the same site with the same SRP with the services disabled? Then for a DR just enable all the services and it will connect to the DR Exchange server?

Yes it is possible, you just need to ensure that you do not have both BES servers up at the same time, as rim will Disable your SRP key if it detects duplicate keys on the network

That used to be true but I believe the number is 3 concurrent SRP connections before the SRP is disabled now.

Just make sure you have the BESMgmt database on the DR SQL server and everything should be fine, but to be sure you should fail over and test it out.

Yeah they may have changed it. I know i used to have lots of problems with SRP keys getting disabled due to firewall/internal network issues. Now i don't take a chance with SRP keys and actually disable the network connection on my failover server(I run BES in VM)
