Default Wifi and Blackberry Infrastructure

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there, I'm new the to site, but i'd searched for two days to find a solution to this problem but it seems a little unique.

(BELL MOBILITY NETWORK) (BOLD 9700) (No data plan but i can use bbm, live messnger, fb, twitter [in short social plan])
Well, I can connect to my router and wifi, and it works.

however when I try and use BB App world. I can't use it JUST with wifi. (In short Grey Wifi Problem)
I try troubleshooting and I find looking through the wifi diagnostic - advanced
that under the

Blackberry Infrastructure

Adress Used:
IP Used:
Connecting: X
... Grey boxes.

The problem being I can't seem to get an Address used:

I've seen people getting an address but error connecting. However I can't even get an address.

Things I've tried:

- BB Battery Pull
- Checked router and send a ping through windows through the cmd screen to check for connectivity to na.blackberry.com 443 port or something like that
- resent packets

Any Ideas? (BTW could it be the fact I'm under Bell mobility? or No Data Plan)

Thanks for those who tried

I would say that BB app World requires the full BB data plan, which you don't have.

As opposed to a "social networking" plan which some carriers sell.

ahh, wow that didn't occur to me i got so caught up trying to get a solid wifi signal that i didn't consider not being able to get blackberry apps.

Thanks for clearing that up, but does anyone have a solution to getting an adress on wifi to get a white wifi signal? all i get is a dash on the box beside wifi because i can't connect to the blackberry infrastructure, no matter where I go which leads me to wonder is getting that address for people who are on data plan? This is because I go to my tables and when i go check wifi, i see several adresses which have been posted up by people

na.blackberry.com 443 or something like that. So I know my bold 9700 has these address's but doesn't even attempt to connect.

You need a BlackBerry Data Plan for this.
