Question Replacement (new) battery taking long to charge

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all

One BB user at my office had a BB which showed battery icon with lightning rod across it. We bought a new battery c-s2 and it started up/synched up etc. I left it charging on USB/his PC overnight. I just checked the status and it says 30%. Should I assume that this is normal and eventually it will get to 100% or, could the "new" battery be defective?

thx a bundle

try hooking the phone up to the wall charger and see if that charges the battery faster.

My work computer USB ports wont charge my phone.

Question more questions re" charging

HI
I'm looking around and it seems like the BB should charge (slower) when connected via USB as long as the drivers are installed (I think this means as long as the desktop manager software is on PC).

So, now, let me ask this - Do I leave the BB turned on or off to charge?
sorry, I'm just learning to work with these BB's.

My BB charges very fast on USB port (not hub) of the computer. Computer must remain on.

Talking I guess

different peeps have different experiences with these. Too bad, it's almost like you don't know what to expect.
Now, I did not say "should I leave the PC turned off" - that would sorta defeat the purpose right?
I asked if the device should be off when charging with the USB
?
Thx

Sorry...clarify...my office electronics (except for the main server and backup server) are switched off after the service garage is closed. Not turned back on till 4am the next morning just to receive updates. This happens automatically. The BB handhelds can be off or on doesn't seem to affect the charge time.
