Weird, everything worked OTA - couldn't load anything via Desktop manager as someone pointed out - one needs to install the OS - This is why I need new BB's more often...my 8703 is ancient!

OK I just had this exact problem coming from my 8830 to my 8330. I had Desktop 4.3.015 installed and could not install any of my 3rd party applications using the app loader. I downloaded the newest 4.3 Desktop Manager, installed and rebooted and it now is version 4.3.017 (Nov 12, 2007) and the loader works properly, as before.
