is the only way to send and receive MMS messages by upgrading to the new OS, i think 4.5.something?

or is there an app (free) that allows this?

With Sprint you will need OS 4.5. There is a sticky at the top of this forum with the OS and instructions on how to download/install it.

You get HTML email, Docs to Go Standard Edition to edit Word, Excel, PowerPoint documents. YouTube support, which I believe you have in 4.3 now.

That's the package number you're seeing. The actual OS is .131.

Here is what you need.

I upgraded to 4.5 and it is far better than 4.3. MMS is added in the upgrade but understand that what you receive is not true MMS but when you are without it you will sometimes accept what you get even if it's not perfect. Docs to Go is wonderful but if you like any of the pre-loaded pictures then you will be out of luck since the upgrade wipes them out. After all that your battery will last a little longer (well mine has).

I beleive their is a fix for the wall papers, it's a sticky someone on the forums, you just to rename the media COD to what the OS wants to see and it will load the pictures.

You have to register Word to Go and you will get Sheets to go.

I upgraded to .131 on my VZW 8330 - can't say that I noticed much improvement except maybe in the battery department...No downside from my stand-point..

What did you upgrade from?

If you upgraded from a previous version of 4.5 then you won't notice much of difference, I had some issue's with 4.5.0.77 where my calendar would dissappear while using the browser .131 has fixed this.

If you upgraded from 4.3 then you should notice alot of new changes. (HTML Email, DTG, etc)

It worked fine for me except when registering doc to go and upgrading to sheets to go for free, i lost my MMS opening capability. Reinstalled doc to go and registered it without the free upgrade and MMS works now (Alltel) subscriber..

Weird.. I install DTG again and register it again see it happens a second time and if so.. I'd just resend the service books from your BIS page.

Welcome to the forums Tasha.

The link is in post #6
http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...n-devices.html

When did you purchase your device? Is it an 8330 or an 8330m?

Then the above link is what you need. The instructions are within that thread. Take your time and everything should go smooth.

Best of luck .
