I searched but didn't find what I was looking for. I want to plug my 8350 into my car stereo aux jack. The car is a standard 3.5 mm plug but my phone is now. If I buy the adapter that BB has on their site and then buy a universal 3.5mm plug (on both ends) will that work? or is there a better way to do it??

no I don't think so. I bought a universal plug from target and it wouldn't fit into the phone.

The 8350i uses a 2.5mm.

Just a comment: why would RIM go back to a 2.5mm with the 8350i when all the other curves are 3.5mm?

yup that's what I mean. I can't figure out another way to do it.

The only other way is to use a casette adapter. If you have an old walkman or cd player, they usually came with casette adapters that let you plug the device into your car's casette deck. I think some of the older ones may be 2.5mm.

But I think what you've proposed is the simplest and easiest way.

I bought an adapter from best buy and the sound was horrible. So I returned it and bought the adapter that blackberry sells. It works perfectly in the car!!!
