Default 8350i - wifi question

Please Login to Remove!

If you have both wifi and the cellular carrier enabled, will data first try to use the wifi connection? When I'm at home, I'd prefer all data transmissions to go over the wifi connection so that my cell phone bill doesn't rack up.

Any info appreciated.

I know for the 8320, you can set what you prefer it to use first.

Then again I'm not to sure how differnt the 8350i is.

Check your connection preference under Manage Connections.

Thanks for the replies...

In the Manage Connections tool I can't seem to find anything about connection preference...

Manage Connection>MObile network> should see something relating to Connection Preference.

If you have a WiFi profile set up - home, a coffee shop, etc - the device auto-routes through the quickest connection by default. As soon as I get home at night my 8350i indicates my home WiFi network and all EMail, Browsing, PIN, BB Messenger is via WiFi.

WiFi slow or iDEN?

iDEN was built for Direct Connect and data applications - not speed.

There are tons of apps for the device. Same as any other BB.
