Default Well, I should really learn to leave things alone....

Please Login to Remove!

Well, I had .113 running, and man was it a beautiful thing for me. Fast, no lags, no lockups - was happy. Then I decided to to have a run at the .122 (even though it is bell and I am vzw) - what a damned mistaked that was. The thing is horrid, to many lockups to count, switching from landscape to portrait that was blazing in .113 is now more like watching sand fall in an hour glass...

Moral of the story - dont fix what aint broke - I am going to try to go back to the .113 and see if that helps -

Thing is I was sure that it was going to be a good thing from what I have read and seen on here....

.132 wouldn't hold EDGE for me. I am now back at .075  but EDGE works!

I will generally not upgrade my OS unless I am pretty certain that the uprgrade will provide new features or fixes to known bugs. I watch the stickys on "Latest OS Release" at the beginning of each model-specifc forum ( 8100, 8200, 8300, etc) pretty closely for this feedback.

Agreed there my friend - I guess I did not sift through enough reviews of .122? Most everything that I read said it was good and people were pleased....oh well chalk it up to an uh oh on my part

Maybe by version 8 million and one, they will get it right---around the year 2050. I think I'm the only one on the forum with little patience for products that are problem childs. Eight days of hassles with our 2 Storms was more than enough for me and they have been returned. And I'm not one to be shy about getting "techy", but the Storm is not something I want to waste my time on--I just want a functional phone, and now I have one. My trusty LG.

I would never had thought that cell phones would become people's hobbies.

Maybe you should "give it two weeks and then tell us how you feel" since that is your "advice" to another on this forum.

Dave, your negative comments at every turn are becoming tiresome. You have your own thread which you created, for that purpose.

So I am only allowed to post if I am a big BB fan? Is that how it works? Seems to me you are just worried that someone might see the folly of spending inordinate amounts of their time trying to make a cell phone WORK. I've never had so much trouble with a consumer device as the Storm. Nothing even comes close. But gee, how terrible of me to relate my troubles with the Storm. And its not like no one else has returned their Storms...

I haven't been rude, so I don't take kindly to you harassing me about my comments.

You are certainly not being helpful, at all.

What I worry about is my business, I am asking your to please quit threadcrapping across this forum with your negative comments. You have a thread dedicated to that purpose. No one has kept you from posting your stuff, so don't play the victim. It's silly, and you look silly doing it. You have a number of posts in this forum which basically sum up your feelings on the Storm. I'm asking that you stop the threadcrapping everywhere you find a crack--that's two different things.

If you can't help people at this point, be gone.

Wirelessly posted

I would agree your post in this thread was not useful and is thread crapping. I hear what you are saying but this was not the place to do it.

I've been online since 1996 and it took until today to hear the rude-sounding term, thread crapping. I'm wondering who is being more unhelpful--me or the two of you? Never even heard the term on Usenet, a wild and crazy place. You guys enjoys your Storms.

You think you are being helpful jumping in a my thread and saying how bad the storm is how you took yours back? Your post was about as useful as a pile of dog shit on a sidewalk.... You are very argumentative and negative....if you would have said something along the lines of hey, try "xyz" with your storm - that would have been helpful and useful - as long as you filled in "XYZ" with useful information.....

Anyways, to get back on topic fellas I am on .132 and haven't noticed any problems, I feel its the same as .113 (for ME) Others mileage may vary. If you are not having luck with that, many people are having extreme luck with .113. I'd stay there for now if all else fails. Happy trails!

Agreed on the .113 for the exact same reason- the .122 after sitting overnight the battery is almost dead - so I will most definitely be going back to .113 today - in fact may just kick off the reinstall right now

I'm currently running .122 right now and I like it. There are less freezes, it seems faster, and overall its just a more better experience than running .76. I had to swap out the radio file from .90 but other than that, its a pleasure.
