Default Google Maps ... those dialog screens!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I've had no joy in creating flashy popup dialogs. All I ever get is a blue canned dialog.

I just was playing with the beta Google Maps (www.google.com/gmm) and they have implemented very cool popup dialog screens. Plain white, images, various fonts, and a nifty vertical scroll bar for visual effect.

I would appreciate any tips on API/class objects, and strategy to achieve such effects.

Thanks,
Eric

public class myPopup extends PopupScreen {
public myPopup(){

}
}

yeah, thanks jfisher. I have already been working with this and have created some working dialogs. Still can't get away from all blue even when overriding the paint() and doing my own setcolor. It appears to ignore it or else somewhere else is overriding my color.

I'll keep working at it.

hmm, giving it a proper look it seems to me that they are using popupscreen but it's containing a custom fileld. they're not just overriding paint as the opening popup has a custom scrollbar on it. tricky.

You think they are drawing their own graphics scroll bar and not using a built-in feature? Interesting, I didn't think that approach.
Custom field might also help in getting away from the blue screen. I'll see.
