That doesn't lock. It puts the device in standby now in this firmware revision. It just puts in standby until the device goes into full lock on the security timeout setting (in Options>Security Options).

Besides battery life increase, is there any other differences with .586 from the .545 OS. My battery is pretty good now, should I even bother updating. Thanks.

.593 fixes some sms bugs. If you delete multiple sms conversations at once, your device will lock up. .593 fixed that.

If everything is working for you, then there's no need to update unless you're OCD like the rest of us.
