Pocketmac didn't tell me to email it out....I was just trying to help people out that may have been in the same spot. I'm sure they will update the download manager ASAP with the new software. I just tried to attach the file to this post, but I couldn't get it to work right

I have downloaded PocketMac and have used it. I like all of you got the same messege that it skips. There is a program called Sync Clean that can help with this.......a little. I downloaded it (it's very small), followed the directions and I got my contacts to sync and some of my calender. The calender seems to be the biggest problem. I am trying to two way sync my ical to my 8330 and it just doesn't want to do it.

Hey RSF Thanks for the tip I tried it and unfortunately it didn't work for me. This is really upsetting considering that with other curves it works. Maybe I can reload my shit on my other curve take it to verizon and have them transfer it from curve to curve
and just pay the 10 bucks I've got way too many contacts to input them manually!

Keep checking the pocketmac help website for updates as well. hopefully they will just list this download online soon!

it might also be that synchronizing was disabled on the device by the network carrier. it actually doesn't make sense ... but, it is possible - carriers can do that ...

Cwcanty, thanks for the tip on the patch...got it installed and am once again in Blackberry heaven...had to go in an reset all of my options in PocketMac, but that's a small price to pay, and now I'm really loving the 8330, big time!

It kind of bugs me that Pocket knew there would be an issue, and didn't get the update posted for us sooner.

So I downloaded everything i am supossed to and it still isnt working! I keep getting the "Error 1 Skipping" error. I dl the patch and it doesnt work. Can anyone help?

it didnt work for me either... until i did this.. i dont know what was wrong.. but i kepted getting the skipping error. after uninstalling and reinstalling 3 times i just plugged up my 8830 and synced it (trying to see if it was USB related) and it syned just fine.. so i plugged my 8330 in it synced for no reason... i dont know what the 8830 did to the program but it got it working... same with my friend's laptop. he couldnt get his to work either and then i came over with my 8830 and synced it, plugged in his 8330 and it worked just fine... we did this monday and today it is still syncing just fine as of today. if you have an extra blackberry that worked on the system before try it and then try the 8330 and see if it works..

If you haven't tried a battery pull yet, try that. Mine stopped syncing, so I did a reinstall which did nothing. Then a battery pull seemed to fix it for me.

Here are the steps to successfully update the drivers for your BlackBerry smartphone.

1. Open the Extensions folder by going to HD > System > Library > Extensions and delete the following files:
* BlackberryUSB.kext
* BlackberryUSBDev.kext

4. Empty the trash.

3. Go to the following link and select PocketMac for BlackBerry from the drop-down list.
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/browseSoftware.do

4. Click next, and you will see 2 download links. You want to click the second one which is PocketMac Driver update -- DriverUpdate.dmg.

5. Install this driver file and restart your Mac.

6. Connect your BlackBerry.

You are now ready to configure the sync settings and sync in the PocketMac Sync Manager.
