Hey -

New to the forums, but they look very nice and like they will be a good resource.

Here is my issue.

I recently had to replace my Verizon 7130E because of a data connection/reception issue, and was bugged by a small, seemingly insignificant issue with my replacement unit.

In the new handheld software version (4.10.268) which came pre-loaded, they seemed to replaced the screen displayed on the device when connected to my PC. My first unit has this nice, full color, three-d image of the PDA and PC with a colorful background. The new device, when connected to my PC shows a full white screen with "stick figure" representations of a PDA and PC.

Is this normal? If not, can it be fixed?

Sorry if seem like I have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) but I fail to believe that my new "toy" should have such a bad graphic screen. To be clear - I am talking about the screen displayed on my blackberry when synching/connecting to my PC.

I've had my 7130 since launch day in December. You are correct about the upgrade changing the PC connect screen. This is normal. You may also see that when connecting to the Desktop Manager it takes a few extra seconds before its in a ready state..... this is also normal in the new release.

Yes, but the fixes in the new OS is worth these minor changes.

Has anyone noticed that the deafult email notification sound has changed as well? Don't worry I have OCD too.
