Default Curve 8350 Battery Dying So Quick?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello

New to the forum because of recent problems with my curve.
Had it about 10 months now, been replaced twice once due to damage (nail glue) and the 2nd due to the cuser pad not working.

Yesterday I did an update and since then today the battery has died, it was on charge for over 8 hours, hardly used it today, been on 1 app, bbm few times, no calls, but texts. By 2 oclock it was on yellow last bar remaining battery?! I was like wtf! This battery is new, got it oct when the phone was replaced due to nail glue.

It did die a few days before hand but that was about 5 oclock.

Not sure whats wrong or to replace the battery.

Letting a Lithium battery run down below 20% can cause damage to the battery.

It sounds like you have several data intensive apps running in the background. When you are finished with an app, make sure you close it down, not just exit out. Keep the battery topped up when you are not using it.

By update, do you mean an OS update? Check the 8500 section for comments about the OS version you are running. That could be part of the problem. I never recommend doing an OS update unless there is a real need.

And from our FAQ: Maximum Battery Life - BlackBerryFAQ
