Hey guys,

Heading back up north, and not feeling terribly excited about working with Rogers again. I have an unlocked 8900 and was wondering if and whom I may be able to use my device with, within the GTA. I'm talking voice and Data, if possible.

How does the term "no choice" sound?! Rogers owns the only GSM network in the country, which includes its pay-as-you-go subsidiary, Fido. 5 years from now it'll be a different picture as the big CDMA carriers switch to newer standards, but for now that's the way it is.

If yours is unlocked then you can use it on FIDO even tho fido uses the same network as Rogers...that's what i use!!

Fido does in fact have the 25/500B BB data plan which if plenty for a BB. And since it's unlocked, no contract required. When you get there, let me know. Maybe I can arrange a discount on a sim through one of the TBooth stores.
