Default Yahoo! IM on VZW 7250 - Data stops working

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 7250 BB with VZW. I have loaded the Yahoo! IM client several times now and had to uninstall everytime. I download it and it works fine with me logging in and out for a few days and then all realize I stop receiving emails, can't get on the web - basically anything to do with data. The little icon in the upper right corner that shows it's talking to the network doesn't even come on. I tried rebooting + + and it started working again. However, with a little more time, it stops working and + + doesn't make it do a complete re-init again (takes only like 2 seconds and it's back).

I uninstall YIM and everything goes back to normal. Any others experience this or have any suggestions?

I've had this trouble too on my 7250. I haven't noticed no email coming in but after being logged into Yahoo IM for more than 10 or 12 hours, it doesn't work anymore. It shows me online and other people online but that's it. I try to remember to logout and log back in at least once a day and that seems to help.

Hmm I am having this no data issue as well, Verizon 7130e. I thought it was my unit. I even wipped my OS off, and redid it from scratch, worked okay, installed all my apps. and then like a day or 2 later, data just seems to stop working. If I pull the battery, put it back in, all my emails come in then.

Im gonna start a new thread for this. Sounds like it might be bigger then just one or two people...How about you guys chime in there as well.

I am on my third 7130e from VZW and all had that issue except for this last one. That being said, i have heard that VZW has an update for this issue.

Any idea how/where we could get an update?

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with this problem as I would guess YIM is not the only type of app that would cause this issue.
