Default 'DESKTOP' Icon Appears after using Switch Device

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I've just started supporting Blackberry 9300 Curve phones at my company and I have a problem with a new phone.

I used the Switch Device wizard in the Desktop software (v6.0) to copy the settings from an old phone to the new 9300. This worked but I couldnt activate the new device using Lotus Notes on a PC, as I have done with several other new 9300s.

I then set an activation password on the BES (which had previously been done for the old phone) and this seemed to activate the new phone ok.

However, the new phone now has an icon called DESKTOP which appears to have a duplicate copy of all the BES emails that are in Messages.

Can someone explain what this DESKTOP icon is? I have hidden it and the user can send/receive emails etc but I would like to know if there will be any future problems.

Thanks.

Messages is a catch all folder, which has your Lotus Notes e-mail, texts and any other e-mail accounts.

Desktop is just the contents of the Lotus Notes e-mail.

You can hide it if you only want to see the messages folder. It came with one of the new OSes.
