I am looking for a solution which will allow me to demonstrate BlackBerry applications via an LCD projector or external VGA monitor. ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You may need to download the Blackberry emulator that actually runs on a PC. Using the emulator you can simulate any of the models, and can even connect these simulated models to your BES. Blackberry developer forums can provide more information on how to accomplish this.

There was no news in the first place. Use the simulator - it works very well and you can project it beautifully.

I use the BB simulators to create snapshots for user documentation.

There is a device I know about that goes from a Blackberry to a standard projector. It's called the Impatica ShowMate. Technically it's an extension of Impatica's line of turning Powerpoint files into Java files, but it can be used this way. Go to www.impatica.com to check it out.

Impatica ShowMate is only for projecting PowerPoint files. You are not able to project the device screen with this box. Technically you upload the PowerPoint file to the BB and then from there to ShowMate - either via BT or cable connection. When the file is transfered to the device you can use the BB to control the presentation.
