Remember - BlackBerrys are not designed as multimedia devices. Although these functions have been added, at it's root the BB is still primarily a business communications device. Many of these multimedia features seem like RIM added them to be able to say, "Yeah, we have that too." It broadens the appeal of BlackBerrys to a much wider audience. But if multimedia is really your focus, you want an iPhone or a Nokia device. It's a trade-off. Nobody does it all.

Can't the OP connect to the PC and use Windows Explorer and the BB Memory and SD Card to move files. They should both show as removable drives, no?

I am not at the PC I use to connect my BB to, but I thought that was how I did something similar a long time ago...

I know it does work to move music and pics from the PC to the card. Just can't recall if I could see the BB Device Memory files too...

On my Tour, only the media card mounts. There may be some Windows Kung-Fu/Trickster type moves that allow you to see the entire device, but I don't have the knowledge.

Try FileScout: FileScout Homepage - a file manager Software for BlackBerry® Devices with OS 4.3 or higher

I have File Manager Pro (Terra Mobility - Essential Tools for BlackBerry), it can see folders in device memory:

app data
applications
dev
home
samples
system
tmp

but can't see files in any folder except for Home and Samples (it has excellent text editor though, that's why I got it).
