I just upgraded my VZW 8830 from 4.2 to 4.5.0.77 OS on BES. I am doing ok except I had 17 contacts on my BB messenger before the upgrade and I now lost them all.

It says 0/17 when I open the messenger.

And when I added about 6 back and then rebooted the BB by pulling the battery.

As soon as I opened the messenger it says it noticed I updated my device and I need to send a confirmation to all my contacts.

And now there is a new group called "Pending PIN Udate confirmation"

and those users are listed under it


Please help me resolve. I know to get my ringtones back I needed to move .cod file from the 4.2 to 4.5 folder and edit the blackberry.alx file.

Looking forward to getting this resolved!

It is a known bug in .77. Your contacts will need to accept your request again.

I actually have to VZW 8830's, the first on is BIS on my own personal.

the second is BES from work and that is the only one of the two that have the issue with the contacts.
