A media card has been insertede that contains errors. To correct the errors please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer. I really dont understand what it means and all my media items are all gone.

Might be a bad memory card? Have you tried formatting the card?

Try the card in your PC and see what it does. If it reads fine go ahead and back it up then re-insert it in your BB.
