Courious who has no other choice but VZW for whatever reason if they want mobile phone/data service...... I have a choice and I won't use VZW for this sort of reason.

I don't expect anything for free. But it was just dumb like I went with TMO in the first place, and I more and more appreciate the perks I've come to realize over the years: unlimited data that is really unlimited; no extra fee for tethering; no need to buy the carrier's mapping/nav service to unlock the gps; ability to download and install anything I want without finding out the carrier doesn't support or blocks the application. . .

Competition is great! Let VZW and the other carriers serve their customer base. More power to them. I'm sorry for those of you who don't have options. You have my sympathy.

I only know of a few places that truly don't have an option in this country.

It wasn't dumb luck that I have Verizon. Did plenty of homework when I moved back to New England and realized Sprint coverage would not suffice. I do envy the choices some other carriers offer, but for me, the network was just absolutely the determining factor and tmo in New England is just horrible. Wish tmo had better service in the region, but vzw is king up here for service.
