How about you go ahead and attack somebody. Say something stupid or offensive. Let's get this over with.

I will. And so will a lot of other disgruntled BB users.
True the Droid -- at least during the very limited time I tried it -- didn't quite seem ready for prime time. But that doesn't mean it won't be as soon as they iron out the wrinkles with Android 2 -- through the cloud, not through clunky cables circa 2001 RIM. The Nexus -- who knows? But make no mistake about it: Google is going VoIP. And that friends is a game-changer. BlackBerry's will go the way of the 8-track player...
I will keep looking.
(Heck if the iPhone offered a slide-out keyboard version I and many others would have jumped ship long ago)

Hahaha. Thanks for the Christmas gift of laughter. I didn't really need it this time, but thanks nonetheless. I would say you are a good form of comic relief, but the sad thing is, you're not joking. I don't know if it's sad or scary.
You realize that major companies and government agencies won't trust their data with Google, right?
Anyway, I hope you have a Merry Christmas. I was going to get you a tin foil hat, but I assume after tomorrow you will have more than you will know what to do with.

And by this response I assume that you work for a major corporation or a government agency that is considering switching everything over to Google.
If so, please share.
If not, then please refrain from making such nonsensical posts in which you have no facts to back up your claims.

I got to see the train wreck, I got to see the train wreck. Woo hoo!
For those who care I missed the last one because I was busy dealing with major family issues. Best Christmas gift so far. Thanks.

Get your most comfy chair, some popcorn, and a Snuggie if you are so inclined. Sit back and relax. The real show will be starting any minute now.

Best part of my Christmas was seeing the iPhone in People magazine's year-end issue on the 'Fads' page. Priceless.
Oh, was that off topic? Continue on, I have my tinfoil hat.

ApacheIndian, I'm curious. Just how stupid are you? I mean, really... on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most stupid, are you, what, a 9... 9.5, perhaps. Or do you go all the way to 11?
We (or most of us, at least) are all aware of the recent data issues, and yeah, it sucked. Bad. And yeah, it made RIM look bad. But here we are, a day or two later, and we are rolling along again. RIM is still here, as are the customers that rely on RIM. And the earth has not stopped spinning in the correct direction. I'm not entirely sure how you translate all of this into the end of RIM, however. I really don't understand.
Are you suggesting Google is somehow superior and more reliable because it has never had issues with its network and data systems? It sure seems like you are. Here... come close. Get up front where you can see better if you need to, because I want to shed some light on your precious Google: Google Down. This was from earlier this year. Google was down worldwide. Imagine that! Worldwide! Google, your savior and probable father of your child, was broken. Bad. So, to borrow your pathetically idiotic conclusion: the writing is on the wall for Google. It's time to move on.
Ironic that you agree that there is nothing currently better for you than a BlackBerry. Will something come along that suits you more? Maybe. As a matter of fact, I hope something does. Soon. I hope you move on and leave us poor souls behind to wallow in our apparent blind faith of all things RIM. We would be significantly happier if you would leave.
Please don't feel obligated to prove to us just how important you think you are. Let me give you a little secret: you're not.
Please take your leave.
Now.

By the way... some data from RIM's December 2009 quarterly statement:
- Revenue for the third quarter of fiscal 2010 was $3.92 billion, up 11% from $3.53 billion in the previous quarter and up 41% from $2.78 billion in the same quarter of last year.
- Approximately 4.4 million net new BlackBerry® subscriber accounts were added in the quarter. At the end of the quarter, the total BlackBerry subscriber account base was approximately 36 million.
- "We are pleased to report record shipments of more than 10 million BlackBerry smartphones during the third quarter with higher than expected revenue, earnings and subscriber growth," said Jim Balsillie, Co-CEO at Research In Motion.
- Revenue for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2010 ending February 27, 2010 is expected to be in the range of $4.2-$4.4 billion.
Sounds to me like RIM is just fine and continuing to grow stronger. Feel free to read the entire press release yourself, if you want. Or can.

I would say use the second can, and when you're out of that, then use the first can.
