Default Disabling when in hokster

Please Login to Remove!

Hello - I have a blackberry 8500 curve, I brought a case for it which it clicks into - not a bb made one.

The option to lock when in holster is NOT ticked, but as soon as it clicks into the case all functions are locked.

Am I missing something ?

Thanks

If the phone is in the case/holster what do you mean everything should work? The case should have a magnet that shuts off the phone screen but leaves the notification sounds on. calls disconnect etc.
Not sure what your saying all functions are locked. What exactly are you trying to do or see when it in the case?

What I mean was the intent was to use the blackberry in the case as its a hard case. The keyboard functions are all locked.

I thought that by disabling the function through the menu - this would allow the keyboard / mouse etc to work

Be sure the hard case is not pushing a button or does not contain a magnet. reguardless of the option setting if it sees a magnet it will ty to shut off the display.

what type of case and model do you have? Is it designed for the 8500?
