Default is it possible to monitor a device's data transfer in BPS?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I am trying to get a handle on my users' data usage on their blackberries, and wondering if it is possible to get reports on data transfer (email/web/whatever)

I am not directing traffic through MDS at this point, just straight from blackberry to internets

my wireless provider is not able to tell me how much data is used in a given month UNLESS that user went over their limit

thanks!

note: I am using BPS 4.1.4.15

You could use apps like the BRK (BlackBerry Resource Kit) to see email traffic and Boxtone does this as well.

If you are using the carrier network for internet then you cannot track it from the BES.

You won't know how data in Kb is being used though. There is no app that I know that will tell you that much.
