3 weeks ago I bought an almost new Bb Bold to my wife, after the initial set up with the carrier Movistar (we are in Caracas Venezuela) the phone was working ok. The problem started today when we connected the Bold to the PC using the desktop manager. He prompted to write the unlock code that I do not have. My wife tried few time with the password she set up before and said that was an invalid code. I called the support center of the Carrier and the say that I should use all the options so the Bold will lock itself, and after that I will unlocked using the SIM Puk codes. As she burned 8 of the 10 times allowed, I am not sure the solution given by the carrier makes any sense. Am I wrong? Has anybody esperience the same? Any imput will greatly aprerciated .
