One thing I've noticed with this app, is the preview feature doesn't seem to work, on either 8130 or 8330.

did you select a picture? when you select preview do you see a white screen with the callerID info or no screen at all?

When I select a picture, and then go to Preview, on the 8130 I get a spinning hourglass for about 30 secs, then it just acts like I didn't hit anything. On the 8330 I get a neverending spinning hourglass and have to ATL-SHIFT-DEL to reset, or battery pull. When an incomming call comes it, it displays the proper picture, and works well, its just the preview feature.

i had this problem on my 8100 when previewing jpg file. it works fine with smaller jpg and png. make sure your pic isnt huge. try editing the pic on the desktop and then resize to your BB screen and resave it to the Picture folder in main memory.

Ok I get the preview, but now I've noticed, when someone calls that is in my address book, their number and location comes up, but not the name from address book.

Yeah, this app needs some work. My home number shows up as just the last four digits of my phone number.

Also, it's not real convenient if you have to manually resize each photo before using. I tried using photos that I took with my BB but they were all too big.

If you have vibe turned on to "2 seconds" between vibes then you get a constant vibe. Very annoying.

Also, I'm not going to load a bunch of pics to my device memory just to have full screen picture ID. They need to be able to be read from the SD card.

some of the bugs have been fixed in the latest beta.

the reason pictureID doesnt resize is for speed. you dont want to wait for the picture to load when you get a call that wouldnt be a good user experience.

for vibrate you have a choice between 2 to 20 seconds. so i wouldnt set to 2 seconds. use a high number.

Sd card support has been added as well as gif format.
