just type in a wrong password 10 times and it will erase all previous data. from there you can create your own password.

Yes we are serious.
If you enter the wrong password 10 times, the BlackBerry will wipe out all customer data. If it has an IT Policy on it, it will not wipe that out.

The password security is intended to protect the DATA, not access to the phone. Therefore, 10 incorrect password attempts wipes the blackberry clean, preventing someone from gaining access to your data.

At that point, you can start from scratch, create a new password, etc.

This is true, i've done this trick loads of times especially when the blackberry has to be transferred onto another user. Have the same thing on my BB several times aswell and this DOES NOT lock the BB but defaults itself to the factory settings instead...

this is one thing you might want to do if your BB is playing up.... just make sure that you backup your BB regularly

Download the javaloader.exe and reload the OS. Before you ask search for javalaoder.exe it's been posted a couple times by other members. MOD d_fisher has a link in his sig.
